#FullMingo: Public House Media Partners with Forward Madison FC
Public House Media is proud to announce an official partnership with USL League 1 soccer club, Forward Madison FC. The purpose of the partnership is to produce a season-long podcast about the newly created team. This is one of several major partnership announcements that PHM has planned in the coming months.
Forward Madison FC is a club that will be built for, by and of the people of Wisconsin’s capital city. It was launched as Madison’s first professional soccer team by Big Top Soccer on May 17, 2018. FMFC will play at historic Breese Stevens Field in USL League One beginning with the 2019 season.
The newly created show will be called “Let Me Be Forward” and will be hosted by PHM Founder and Broadcaster, Baxter Colburn. Joining Colburn on this new venture will also be up-and-coming, Madison-based sports broadcaster, Madeline Kumm.
“This podcast will be the best way for fans to get inside information on Forward Madison and to gain Madison perspectives on local, national and global soccer events and issues. Baxter Colburn is a talented interviewer and is one of the most knowledgeable soccer media personalities in Wisconsin. That makes him a great fit to host this podcast,” said Forward Madison Managing Director Peter Wilt.”
“Let me Be Forward” will air as part of the Public House Media Network and will be available for streaming any time for free on numerous podcasting platforms, such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and iHeartRadio. A new episode will be released every Wednesday, beginning March 20 and running until the conclusion of the 2019 FMFC season.
“The opportunity to partner with such an incredible organization like Forward Madison FC is truly a unique opportunity. It’s wonderful to be part of something that is so well-run and something that fans are clearly passionate about, thanks to the guidance and direction of Peter Wilt. Getting to talk soccer every week is certainly something I would never think twice about. I’m really excited!” said Colburn. “Sports are a universal language. They are a way for people from all walks of life to come together and pursue a common goal. The friendships, the camaraderie, and the challenges that teams face are stories waiting to be told—and I can’t wait to document those on this new podcast” said Kumm.
The purpose of this newly created podcast is to give Forward Madison fans a true behind-the-scenes look into their favorite club with coach and player interviews. Along with previews and reviews of each match, Colburn will break down the action from Minnesota United FC, and comment on other major soccer headlines that you and your friends have been fighting about on Twitter or chatting about at the local pub. There will even be times where coaches and players from opposing clubs stop by to chat about an upcoming fixture against the Mingos.
Fans of the podcast can stay up to date all season by following “Let Me Be Forward” on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Public House Media is proud to announce this partnership and is looking forward to a long and fulfilling relationship with Forward Madison FC.
